Passed away peacefully in the arms of her husband, while surrounded by her daughters on Thursday, September 14, 2017, age 61. Loving wife of Bob and devoted mother of Stephanie and Kimberly. She will be fondly remembered by her sisters Lucy (Fred), Helen (Brian), Diane (Ron) Louise (John) , Joanne (Conrad); her mother-in-law Edith Huard (the late Robert), brothers-in-law Rick (the late Judy), Steve and Gary (Brenda) Huard, nieces and nephews as well as her cousin Judy Huard. Predeceased by her parents William and Gabrielle Backs and her brother Ronny Backs. Family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the ICU and nursing staff at the General Hospital. Visitation will be held at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre, 2500 Baseline Road on Monday, September 18th from 2pm to 4pm. A memorial service will be held at the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel on Tuesday, September 19th at 11am. Reception to follow. For those wishing, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Ottawa Humane Society.
