Hugh will be deeply missed by his loving wife and best friend, Betty (nee Leeson). They shared a wonderful marriage of 60 years. He was a devoted and much loved father of Joanne Wujcik (Gene) of Edmonton, Bruce (Mary) and Steven (Cindy). He will be missed by his wonderful granddaughters Kelsey and Hilary, who he adored and was so proud of. Predeceased by his brother Fred, sister Barbara and sister-in-law Nancy Villeneuve. Hugh will be remembered by special cousins June, Una and friends, Laurie and Pat McEwan, who were there with us every step of the journey. Also our church family and nieces and nephews. Hugh will be remembered for his love of his family, and his kind and gentle spirit and helpful nature, and his strong faith in his Lord and Saviour. He has given us the gift of many happy memories, which we will treasure forever. The family would like to thank the staff at the Irving Greenberg Family Cancer Centre, especially Dr. Neil Reaume, for the kind and caring help Hugh received. Also thanks to the CCAC for all of their help, and a special thanks to Nurse June from Nova Scotia, and to Dr. Daniel Chapman and staff. A heartfelt thanks to Dr. Paul Hacker during Hugh's final days. A Celebration of Hugh's Life will be held on Tuesday, November 6 at the Kanata Baptist Church (Hazeldean Rd) at 11 a.m. A reception will follow in the church hall.
