<div itemprop="description"><br>A wingman to his wife, superhero to his children, play toy for his grandkids, rock for his nieces and nephews, and champion to his friends. He will be remembered for his unconditional compassion, love of life, infectious laugh, spontaneous dancing, and profound empathy for others. <br> <br>A well respected teacher and coach with the Ottawa Board of Education for 34 years. He will be remembered by the many students he taught, coached and mentored, at Lisgar, Brookfield, Sir Robert Borden and D. A. Moodie. <br> <br>He was predeceased by his parents Charles Talmage and Hilda (Cox), sisters June (Geller), Diana and his daughter Sharon. Survived by his brother Gordon (Francine Desjarden). Husband of Joyce (Gould), sister-in-law Audrey (Warren Blackburn). Father of Bruce (Tracy Butler) and Ronald. Grandfather of Erica (Jordan Fraser) and James (Kelly Hurcomb). Great Grandfather to Aubrey and Austin. He will be remembered fondly by his nieces and nephews. <br> <br>Many thanks to all the staff of Willow House at Peter D. Clarke for their outstanding care and compassion. <br> <br>Friends and family may visit at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre, 2500 Baseline Rd, Ottawa on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Service will be held at Knox United Church, 25 Gibbard Ave. on Wednesday, January 23 at 1 p.m. followed by a reception.
