In Celebration of

Song Kang

November 15, 1931 -  October 4, 2020

Song passed away at Hazeldean Gardens Retirement Home on Sunday, October 4, 2020, just a month short of his 89th Birthday. Loving father to sons Roy (Sunah), Jim and daughter, Susie MacRae (Tom); loving grandfather to Sean MacRae, Daniel and Jacob Kang.

Song was a Major in the Korean Air Force before immigrating to Canada in 1966. His wife, Yong, and their three children followed in 1967. He became a proud Canadian. For most of his career, he worked as a Telecommunications supervisor for Ontario Hydro in Smiths Falls, Ontario. On retirement, he and his wife, Yong became avid ballroom dancers in Ottawa and travelled the world for many years.

He is in a better place as he is reunited with the love of his life and an irreplaceable dance partner, Yong. Enjoy your endless nights of dancing into the sunset. You are loved and missed by all your family and friends.

A private family service will be held and interment at Highland Park Cemetery, 2037 McGee Side Road, Carp.

No, more than friends. I think we adopted each other into relationship, having met at dance class, then KBC, then Friendship Club... missing you, Song. Praying for the family, with love.
