Sandra Boehmer
March 3, 1963 - August 23, 2019

On Friday, August 23rd, Sandy went home to be with her Lord and Saviour. Although she was only 56 years old, Sandy lived a great life – one that was full of love and laughter. Her family meant everything to her. She leaves behind her husband, her rock, Robin Mallon. He was the love of her life. Her children, Jessie, Terry, and Nic, adored their Mama; she lived for them. Recently, Sandy's longtime wish came true: she became a Gramma to the most precious angel, Scarlett Sandra Sauve. We know that Gramma will forever be watching over her beautiful Scarlett from above. Sandy was blessed to have been brought up by wonderful parents. She is survived by her mother, Carole Boehmer, who will miss her terribly. She was predeceased by her father, Terry; she was so happy and comforted to know that she would be seeing her Dad again. Sandy could not have gotten through this journey without her beloved sister, Tracy Mitchell, and her family – Drew, Hailey, and Sam. Tracy was the wind beneath her wings. She will be sorely missed by her uncles, John (Diane) and Bill (Frances). Sandy shared many fond memories with the Mallon family; they will be forever cherished. For the past 16 years, Sandy had the opportunity to work at the CHEO Research Institute with some awesome people who showered her with love and kindness. A heartfelt thank you to Sandy’s friends for their constant prayers and encouraging words. Sandy also wanted to thank the hematology team at the Ottawa Hospital for all of their care and support over the past 14 months. Sandy's compassion, sense of humor, and unshakeable faith touched the lives of many; she will be fondly remembered by her friends and loved ones. Visitations will take place at Pinecrest Remembrance Centre (2500 Baseline Road) on Tuesday, August 27th from 2pm to 4pm, and from 7pm to 9pm. A celebration of Sandy's beautiful life will be held on Wednesday, August 28th at 11am in the Chapel. Reception to follow. If you would like to make any donations to an organization, please consider helping the Ottawa Humane Society. "And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love."
