Ottawa Board of Education Secretary – Canterbury H.S. 21 years
In Ottawa on Monday, December 11, 2017 at the age of 85 from non-obstructive emphysema (form of C.O.P.D.). Predeceased by her beloved husband William (Bill) Pritchard Erskine (October 1989) and their cherished daughter Pamela Jane Erskine (July 1995). Only child of the late Elmer (University of Toronto – Class of 1925 Pharmacy and Cornet Soloist) and Hilda Madge (née Woolsey) Carnagie. Both of Pembroke. Survived by 3 great sons; Jim (Line Chartrand), Rob (Kim Besserer) and Alan. Also by 5 Grandchildren Andrea (Nick Brunet), Kayla (Colin McCann), Michael, Kathleen and Craig.
Madge was and accomplished pianist, an avid crafter and enjoyed paper tolling.
Friends are invited to visit at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa, on Friday, December 15 from 9 to 10 a.m. A Celebration of Madge’s Life will take place in the chapel at 10 a.m. followed by interment and reception.
For those who wish memorial donations can be made to the Heart Institute, Canadian Cancer Society or the Lung Association.
Madge will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
