She moved in her twenties to Ottawa to pursue her career and became one of the pioneers in software development at the Canada Revenue Agency. Through the rest of her career she took on more senior responsibilities with the Federal Government.

She met Paul while studying at Carleton University and they decided to settle in Ottawa. They had a loving relationship for over 49 years. In retirement, Louise enjoyed travelling with Paul and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family. She also volunteered in the executive at the Caldwell Family Centre and led the team which saved the closing of St-Bonaventure parish for the second time.

The family wants to thank the hematology and nephrology teams at the Ottawa Hospital for their dedicated care over the last fifteen years and the service of the Medicine team at the Civic Hospital for their care during the last few weeks of her life.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time due to the current travel restrictions.
