In Celebration of

Leora Doreen Froome

November 20, 1929 -  April 27, 2020

Passed away suddenly and peacefully on April 27th, 2020. Beloved wife of the late William (Bill) Froome who was the love of her life (June 2nd, 1988). Loving mother of Eleanor (Steve Anderson), Bruce (Carole Lainey), Chris (Glenn McDonald), Greg (Karen Strike), David (Tanya Clayburn), and Cathy (Don). Proud Grandmother of Rod (Joanne), Mike (Heidi), Kayla, Chelsea, Jeffrey, Amy, William, Ashley (Cory), Craig, and Christopher. Great grandmother of Gavin, Trent, Elodie, Ben and Brantley. Dear sister of Rona (Ron Quackenbush) – predeceased by siblings James, Irene, Jessie and Garnet. Special Aunt of Carolin (Rick Albers), Great Aunt to Hannah & Heidi. Mom/Lee will be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Mom loved her family and taught us acceptance, to be kind and laugh. She was the rock of the family. She loved dancing and never missed a chance to get out there and tear up the floor. She loved a good party and rarely turned down an invitation.

Our family wish to thank Crystal View Lodge for making Mom feel a part of their Community. A special and heartfelt thank you to Ottawa Senior Care (Tina & Staff) for their kindness and compassion and a special thank you to Dr J. Lauder who was there for Mom right up to the end.

A private celebration of life will take place at a later date.

For those who wish, memorial donations can be made to Myeloma Canada or Kidney Foundation.

"Mom" will be truly missed! She accepted me from day one and always made me feel special and part of the family. She never judged or told me what to do and always had great advice when it came to raising her grand children. She is in a better place now with many family and friends, dancing and enjoying her wine. I will remember her as a wonderful mother in law, grandmother and person. She loved playing games with her grandchildren and always had a smile. Holidays won't be the same without her sleepovers. Forever in my heart, love Tanya
