<div itemprop="description">John Joseph Duigenan<br>November 25, 1931- November 22, 2019<br><br>John Joseph Duigenan was born in Glasgow, Scotland. Following an apprenticeship in the Glasgow shipbuilding yards, he was awarded admission to the engineering program at Strathclyde university where he graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Upon immigrating to Canada in 1963, he worked for Imperial Oil before obtaining a Masters degree in mechanical engineering from the university of Western Ontario. He subsequently joined the staff of Algonquin college as a professor of Mechanical Engineering. With an impish witty sense of humour, a love of the outdoors, his farm, soccer, and his family. John lived life to the fullest and will be dearly missed by his family: his wife Julia, his children Shauna and Malcolm and his grandkids. Family will receive friends on Monday, November 25 at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre (2500 Baseline Rd. Ottawa) from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service to be held in the Pinecrest Chapel at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be followed by a reception in the Pinecrest Reception Centre. Donations may be made in John's name to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Ottawa Hospital Foundation.</div>
