In Celebration of

Jantina "Tina" Pos

December 2, 1939 -  September 13, 2020

Peacefully at hospital. Loving wife of Hans. Beloved mother to Pythia(Henry), D’Arcy(Victoria), Cynthia (James), Dagmar and Natashia (Bill). Proud Grandmother of 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
Tina wore many hats throughout her life and juggled more than the average Mother of 5. Following her working days, she loved to garden and visit with friends and family. Going for drives and just stopping in was one of her favourite things to do. At home, the coffee was always on and on Sundays there was usually a pot of soup big enough to feed visitors that popped in too. She looked for reasons to have a party. It could be someone’s 30th and another person’s 42nd, and that was reason enough! She was the one that brought everyone together. Quiet evenings would find Tina puzzling, crocheting, knitting, or asleep in her living room chair. Her house was spotless, her laundry fresh off the line, her gardens were weedless, and still had time to chat with her kids on the phone when they needed her. If you were to look her address up on Google Earth, you’ll see her doing what she loves – check it out! Tina was always taking photos of home improvement projects, her gardens, her travels – but could never figure out how to transfer them off her camera. When you went to visit, she almost always had a new photo album on the coffee table because she went to Walmart and had all the photos printed again!

A graveside service will take place at Pinecrest Cemetery, 2500 Baseline Road, on Thursday, September 17 at 1pm. Donations to the Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated by the family. https://foundation.ottawaheart.ca/
