<div itemprop="description">Elizabeth (Betty) Pallister<br>27 June 1927 – 15 November 2019<br><br>On Friday November 15th, in her 92nd year with family at her side, Betty passed away peacefully at the Ottawa Civic Hospital. She is predeceased by her adoring and devoted husband Jack, and eldest son Graham. As the youngest of 11 siblings, Betty is predeceased by her parents George Watson and Margaret Maude (Dawson), and brothers and sisters Ewart, Sarah (Fraser), Beryl (Mennie), Dwight, Della (Arkinstall), Marion (Moffatt), Amy (Fraser), Hazel (Smith), Millie and Ben. Betty (Grammy) was much loved and is survived by her son Alexander (Sandy) and his wife Wanda (McWilliams), grandson Peter and his wife Julie (Delahunt) and great grand children Graham, Alice and Bruce. She was blessed with numerous nieces, nephews and good life-long friendships. Betty graduated from Ottawa Teacher’s College in the late 40’s and taught elementary school in Ottawa and Nepean throughout the next 40 years. She was a faithful member of Knox United Church. She was known for her kindness, generosity, inquiring spirit and witty sense of humor. Betty will be sorely missed by all who had the good fortune to know her.Family and friends will gather at the Pinecrest Visitation Center, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa on Thursday November 28th at 10:00 a.m. Memorial Service will take place in the Chapel at 11:00 with a Reception and light lunch to follow. The family would like to express sincere thanks and appreciation to the many family, friends and staff that brightened Betty’s days with their visits, companionship, and loving care support during the last years while she was a resident at the Glebe Centre, as well as for the compassionate health care provided by staff at the Ottawa Civic Hospital at the time of her passing. A private interment in Pinecrest Cemetery will take place at a later date.In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make donations may do so in Betty’s memory to a charity of choice.<br><br><br><br><br><br><br></div>
