In Celebration of

Elizabeth "Beth" Ribbink

February 15, 1960 -  June 12, 2020

Passed away peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2020 at Ruddy Shenkman Hospice at the age of 60. Loving daughter of the late Herman and Mildred Ribbink. Treasured wife of Jim Gamo. Cherished "sister" (sister-in-law) of Kathy Lamont (Gamo) and Karen Hamilton (Gamo). Adoring "auntie" to Adam, Devon, Brayden and Callen Lynch. Sister of Dan Ribbink (Fran). Remembered by nephews Phillip and Jordan Ribbink. Beth will also be remembered by her many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and dear friends. Special "cat" Mom to Savannah. The well being of family and friends was most important to Beth, never expecting anything in return. Her greatest joy was listening to music, supporting Jim's band and the time they spent together on the water and in the loving home they created. The family would like to thank Home Care Nurse Victoria, PSW Chantel, Barb from Hospice, Dr. Wheatley-Price, Dr. Andrew Douglas, Dr. Erika Tanner and the caring, compassionate nursing staff of the Ottawa General Hospital 5 East especially during the 2 lonely weeks of no visitors due to COVID 19. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date followng COVID 19. At Beth's request, as an expression of sympathy, donations to L.A.W.S. or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

So sorry for what she had to go through and you as well Jim.

It was nice to have a conversation with Beth last winter, and the texting.

Even though we lived 4 hours away from each other, Beth and I shared a number of summers of fun and laughter during our teens. I enjoyed going to spend time at their farm.

We are so very sorry for your loss Jim. You have shown so much strength and depth of character as you were able to care for Beth at home for as long as you did. We recall a wonderful holiday with Beth, Herman and Mildred in 1987 to the Netherlands with a side trip to Austria - lots of adventures.
