In Celebration of

Donald Rea Nesbitt

October 6, 1943 -  August 9, 2020

Nepean Fire Platoon Chief of 35 years (Ret.)

Donnie passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 9, 2020 with his family by his side. Beloved husband of 46 years to the late Brenda Bleeks and second husband of 2 years to Clare O’Connor. Loving father of Wade (Tricia), Kristy (Ralph) and Ryan. Stepfather to Shivaun (Eric) and Robbie. Cherished and adored grandfather of Brayden, Nolan, Parker, Carter and step grandfather of Lily, Cambrie and Sydney.

Donnie will be dearly missed by his twin brother Doug (Wendy) and his sisters Elaine (Roger) and Penny (Gordie) as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Gary. Donnie was known to be a kind and generous man. He had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh. Although no longer by our sides, he will forever be in our hearts.

Due to Covid restrictions there will be no visitations and private funeral arrangements have been made for immediate family members only. If desired memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Ottawa Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of your choice.
