Desmond "Des" Brownlee
Passed away on Friday, March 9, 2018 as a result of an accident at age 85. Beloved husband of Marjorie "Tootsie" Brownlee. Devoted father of and friend to Debbie Hollingworth (Steve), Janice Mullen (Mark), Jennifer Brownlee (Ron), Nancy Brownlee (Sean). Loved and admired by his grandchildren Corey (Erin), Courtney (Connor), Amy (Adam), Sarah (Dan), Ashley (Josh), Burke (Janice) and Jack. Proud great-grandfather to Keaton, Hayden, Ellie, Ethan, Charlotte, Henry, Scotia and Violet. Best friend to Vera Wiseman. Survived by three of his siblings, Frank Brownlee, Kay Villa Michel and Allen Brownlee. Family will receive friends at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre (2500 Baseline Rd, Ottawa) on Friday, March 16 from 5 - 8 p.m. and on Saturday, March 17 from 12:30 p.m. until time of Funeral Service to be held in the Pinecrest Chapel at 2:30 p.m. A reception will follow. In memory of Des, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
