In Celebration of

Carmen Osborne Hodgins

May 2, 1936 -  August 3, 2020

Carmen Osborne Hodgins passed away peacefully on Monday, August 3, 2020.

He was born on May 2nd, 1936 in Semans, Saskatchewan, to Evelyn & Osborne Hodgins. Loving father of Cathy (deceased), Tom (Ingrid) & Michael (Sandra). Proud grandfather of Joshua McAteer and Thomas, Anne, Noah, Tessa, & Sarah Hodgins. Dear brother of Iris Smith and predeceased by sisters Norma Stewart and Orma Hodgins. He is also predeceased by his first wife, Jean Hodgins, and survived by his second wife, Carol Hodgins.

Carmen served as an Ottawa Police Officer and Constable for 37 years, a title he was proud to hold throughout his life. He was also passionate about hockey, and was President of the Ottawa District Minor Hockey Association for several years. Carmen loved to watch both his children and grandchildren play the sport he so deeply loved.

Carmen loved to help people from all walks of life. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially when playing Euchre was involved. Carmen was well-loved by family and friends, and never hesitated to crack a joke in hopes of a good laugh.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the Salvation Army Grace Manor (Ottawa) for the wonderful care they provided in Carmen’s final years.

A private service will be held among family. For those who wish, donations can be made to:

Mike, my thoughts are with you and your family at this difficult time. Breakfast "meetings" with stories about your Dad provided us with lots of smiles... he always sounded like quite the character! Sending hugs your way
