<div itemprop="description">It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Gleeson (nee O'Connell), on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at St. Patrick's Home, at the age of 91 years. Predeceased by her husband John Wilfred Gleeson "Jack" and son Chris Gleeson. Also predeceased by her parents, Lucy Dorgan and Joseph O'Connell and her two brothers, Delos and Clare O'Connell. Proud and loving mother of Michael (Kathy), Chris (Nancy) and Elizabeth (Pat Brennan). Cherished grandmother of John (Andrea), Dan, David (Jamie), Laura, Annie, Lindsay, Meghan and Stephen and great-grandmother of Lani. Faith filled parishioner of St. John the Apostle Church, a long time resident of Leslie Park and member of Cedar Hill Golf Club. Visitation will be held at Pinecrest Visitation Center, 2500 Baseline Road on Wednesday, September 25, from 6-8 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. John the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 2340 Baseline Road, on Thursday, September 26 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Pinecrest Cemetery, 2500 Baseline Road, with reception to follow at Pinecrest reception centre. We are especially grateful for the ongoing support we have received from our family and friends. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at St. Patrick's Home (Carlow Care Home) who helped her each day and tucked her in each night.
