In Celebration of

Arnold Bruce Bjornsson

July 25, 1931 -  December 8, 2020

Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of family, just as he always hoped he would on Tuesday Dec 8, 2020 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Sally for 62 years. Loving and adored father of Andrew Bjornsson, Lauren Chambers and Ron Bjornsson. Proud grandfather of Josh Chambers(Kalli) , Caleb Chambers (Larissa), Justin Chambers (Jenn) and Paige Chambers. Great grandfather to Gabriella, Zoe, Willow, Levi and Rilynn.

Loved God, his wife and his family in that order. Serving others was his greatest goal and joy in life. Sharing and caring was his gift. His faith was his guidepost for everything in his life. He was a prayer warrior for many.

He graduated top of his 4th year class of Engineering from the University of Manitoba and so won the gold medal. He enjoyed a successful career as a Civil engineer. He served for a total of five years in the Canadian Naval Reserve.

He loved carpentry and stamp collecting. Telling jokes was his signature way of making people feel cared for. He was uniquely selfless in everything he did. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Special heartfelt thanks to Veterans Affairs Canada and Lynn Manion for the exceptional daily help and care provided for our father. You were an angel when we needed it most. Thankyou to Linda of Hospice and Joseph of Nurses next door for the kind and compassionate palliative care in the last weeks of our fathers life. You went above and beyond. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Andrew Douglas for guiding us through the toughest days and showing such grace and kindness. We also wish to thank all the psw support that came in to assist us over many weeks and months. Our hearts our full of gratitude for all and we will never forget you.

If friends desire memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army or World Vision.
