{Français suivra}

Alexandre Jean-Philippe Baron was born in Ottawa, Ontario, on November 25, 2005 to loving parents, Philippe Baron and Heidi Stride. He was also deeply loved by his stepmother Mélanie Lévesque and his stepfather Ghislain Hardy.

On October 22, 2019, 13-year old Alex went missing from his home in Blossom Park. Four days later, his body was found in a nearby wooded area. Alex was a Grade 9 student at St. Francis Xavier High School and a recent recruit with the 2951 Leitrim Army Cadets. He dreamt of becoming an architect to help rebuild communities in the aftermath of natural disasters and war.

Alex was a happy, caring and gentle soul, always standing up to injustices and making sure he left a smile on your face. He had a very loving nature, and he also loved nature. It is befitting that his last moments here on earth were in the embrace of mother nature.

Alex’s memory will forever be cherished by his siblings (Liliane, Félika, Benoit, Rose-Alie, and Christian); his grandparents (Conrad & Jeannine, Erika & Dave (deceased), Lise & Claude); his great grandparents (Opa & Oma (deceased), Pappy Ben & Léona (both deceased), Lumina & Léo (both deceased)); his aunts and uncles (Karine & Mathieu, Jean-Léo & Maya, Nathalie & Kenneth, Danielle & Simon); his great aunts and great uncles (Claudette & René, Denise & Gilles, Nicole & Don, Aurèle & Georgette, Bill & Christine, Ben & Joan, Lise & Robert, Aline & Réjean, Anne, Normand & Guylaine), as well as his beloved cousins and many more who touched Alex's life. His light will forever shine within us.

DONATIONS

In memory of Alexandre Baron, the family would appreciate donations to:

Youth Services Jeunesse
24/7 Crisis Line: 613-260-2360
https://www.ysb.ca/donate/

Thank you all for your continued support, love, and healing words.

---
