<div itemprop="description">MARTIN, William Charles <br> <br>Born in Hull Quebec on July 30, 1934, went to his heavenly home in his 86th year on October 6, 2019 after a short battle with lymphatic cancer. Treasured husband to Brenda (nee Hewitt). Devoted father to Stephen and Mark (Wafa). Loving grandfather, “Gramps” to Thomas, Phillip and Sarah. He will be missed by his brother Jerry Martin (Lynda). William is predeceased by his parents Elsie and Kenneth Martin and his sister Shirley Wood. <br> <br>He will be greatly missed by his family and broad network of friends from the Metropolitan Bible Church where he served in many capacities during his over 70 years as a member. His career took him in many different directions, but his long-standing role with the Dominion Automobile Association, as a sales representative, began in 1972 and continued until his passing. He was often awarded the “Man of the Year” in his sales position and his affable warm nature spilled over into everything he did. <br> <br>Family and friends are invited to visit at Cole Funeral Services & Pinecrest Remembrance, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, October 16 from 11:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. <br>at the Metropolitan Bible Church (Fireside Room), 2176 Prince of Wales Dr, Ottawa. <br> <br>A Funeral Service will follow in the Church on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow in the Church Hall. Interment to follow at Pinecrest Cemetery. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Metropolitan Bible Church Missions Fund will be gratefully appreciated. <br> <br>“Absent from the body is present with the Lord.” <br></div>
