In Celebration of

Viola (“Vi”) Wilma Riseborough

September 19, 1927 -  July 3, 2020

We are heartbroken by the loss of Viola, our beloved Mum, Grammy and friend. Dear daughter of the late Edwin and Julia Peterson (nee Haggerty). Much-loved wife for almost 30 years of the late William Riseborough. Cherished mother of William (Nancy Scott), the late Daniel (Rosalind), Edwin (Antonia) and Pamela (Thomas Jarrett). Treasured Grammy to Anna Parenteau (Alex), Steven (Stephanie Villeneuve), Jake, Zachary, Michael Jarrett (Christine Katona), Nicholas and April Jarrett, and great-Grammy to Lucie, Sophie and Félix Parenteau and to Grace and Isabelle Villeneuve-Riseborough. Predeceased by her sister Dorothy Pinhey and nephew Geoffrey. Also left to mourn are her best friend Lenora Hill and nephews Gregory (Carole) and Christopher Pinhey. Special thanks to the incredibly supportive staff and residents at Queenswood Villa and Portobello Retirement Residence, and the heroes in ICU at the Montfort Hospital for their care for Viola and for her family. If you wish to make a donation in her memory, some of her favourite charities included the Canadian Diabetes Association and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.

Her photo is just as I remember her - so cheerful always!
And a most gentle and caring Lady.

Wishing very much we could be there to hug you all.
