My loving and devoted husband and best friend Tim passed away peacefully at home with family at his bedside, on March 16, 2018. Tim courageously and gracefully battled Pancreatic Cancer for 20 months, never losing hope, and always with a positive attitude for better days to come. He continued to do all he things he loved most: being with family, especially Casper and Amelia, riding his motorcycle, golfing, spending time at the cottage, and travelling. Tim was loved and respected by all who knew him for his patience, humor, compassion and kindness. He never gave up and he never gave into this devastating disease. His faith in God and love of family sustained him always. He will be remembered and cherished for his gentle and joyous soul; he was an inspiration to us all. And boy, could he dance.
Tim was born in Lima Ohio. He served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years. In Ottawa he worked in I.T. for over 40 years and raised a beautiful family.
He leaves behind his wife Tania (nee) Zinow, sons Nicholas, Kyle (Rodrigo), his favorite daughter Shana Mary and his two precious grandchildren Casper and Amelia. He also leaves a brother Mike, sisters Sheila, Trish (Joe), Monica, and Maureen, and numerous nieces and nephews throughout the US.
Visitation will be at the Pinecrest Visitation Center, 2500 Baseline Rd., Friday March 23th, 2-4pm and 7-9pm.
Celebration of Tim’s life will be at the Canadian Golf and Country Club, 7800 Golf Club Way, Saturday March 24th, 3-6pm.
Memorial donations in Tim’s memory may be made to The Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation @ www.ottawacancer.ca
