ROUETTE, Susan (Davis)
Susan (Davis) Rouette passed away peacefully at the May Court Hospice of Ottawa on November 28, 2016 after a heroic battle with cancer. Sue was born in Bath, England in 1941 to Bill and Betty (Langley) Davis. Having travelled to far and exotic places with her family from an early age, she developed a lifelong passion for exploring the world and all it's cultures and cuisines. She graduated from the Royal Victoria Hospital as a Registered Nurse at the age of 21 and never retired. She served her community in her beloved profession until 74 years old because she truly loved caring for others. True to her nature, she always shared a smile and a laugh with those around her. She is survived by her children John (Nat Hachey), Sharon (Chris Urquhart) and Anita Rouette. Predeceased by infant daughter Christine. Cherished Nanny to Olivia Urquhart. Grandmother to Erick, Jonathon and Jamye Rouette. Predeceased by her sisters Elizabeth Davis and Alison Cornforth. Survived by siblings Andrew, Jeremy and Judith. Much loved by her many nieces, nephews and godchildren. Dearest lifelong friend to Gisela Lamb. Family will receive friends on Sunday, December 4 at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre (2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa) from 1 p.m. until the time of the Celebration of Susan's Life to be held in the Pinecrest Chapel at 2 p.m. A reception will follow. In memory of Susan, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
