<div itemprop="description">Norma Fobert (nee Crowe) 1930-2019. <br>Peacefully, on February 1, after battling cancer for four years, Norma’s prayer to go home was answered by her Lord. Sister to Earl, Beverly (Lorne Banning) and Barbara. Beloved wife of Glenn for 64 years, mother of David (Virginia), Christine Janzen (Allen Royston), Katherine Rae (Daniel), James (Dominique Gagnon). Grandmother of Sarah Hyde (Matthew), Emily Fobert (Simon Reeves), Rachel Fobert (Randyll Geoffrey-Pearson), Lisa Janzen (Andrew Purcer), Matthew Janzen (Ashley Nichol), Nathaniel and Christopher Rae. Great-Grandmother to Lenox Hyde. <br> <br>Norma was born and raised in Ottawa and attended the Metropolitan Bible Church. She was a private secretary at Morgan’s Department Store, and the secretary of Ottawa Youth For Christ. After marrying Glenn they moved to Toronto where she worked to support Glenn while he attended university. They raised their family in Kingston where she taught Sunday School, led the youth group, sang in the choir, and was secretary to the pastor, and later assistant treasurer at Bethel Church. She was a bookkeeper at the Cataraqui Conservation Area, and a volunteer treasurer for Camp Iawah. <br> <br>Norma dedicated her life to her family and church families and is remembered fondly by so many for how lovingly she opened her home and shared her gifts of cooking and hospitality. <br> <br>Visitation at Pinecrest Visitation Centre on Thursday, February 7 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, and at Kanata Baptist Church on Friday, February 8 at 1:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm at Kanata Baptist Church, followed by refreshments. <br> <br>For those who wish, memorial donations to Canadian Baptist Ministries or Camp Iawah would be greatly appreciated by the family. <br></div>
