It is with heavy hearts that Amanda and Meredith Cullen announce the passing of their beloved mother and best friend after a brief illness. Cherished daughter of the late Blair and Elsa Pickthorne and is survived by her sister Sharon (David Young) of B.C., her Aunts Marilyn Otero of Spain, Shirley Elliott of Kingston, predeceased by her Aunt Doreen of Atlanta and Uncle Bill of Ottawa. She will be forever missed by her family and friends and her life-long friends, the “Hummers”.
Melinda was a singular force of nature whose generosity knew no bounds, whose guidance and dedication to family was extraordinary and whose love, wit and warmth was freely shared. She touched us all deeply and will never, ever be forgotten.
Her career included work for White Cross Pharmacy, JG Knowlton and Central Building. Melinda was also the founder of Computers & More, which she owned and operated for 20 years.
