Died February 20, 2019, at the age of 88, in the Civic Hospital, with family by her side, following a stroke. Proud mother to Hugh (Deb), David (Lynne), Dan (Sharon) and Jane (Chantal). Loving "GranMary" to Fiona (Carlos), Alan (Tiffany), Keri (Stefan), Samantha, Hannah, Andrew (Kaythi) and Keilin, and great GranMary to John. Predeceased by her husband John, and siblings Nancy and Eric. Survived by her brother Dick.

A longtime member of Ottawa's weaving community, and former president of the Ontario Handweavers and Spinners, Mary was a regular exhibitor at craft sales for many years, first with her weaving, then with "Morr-Funn Designs" children's clothes. She continued to teach weaving well into her 80s. In years past, she had taught Scottish country dancing with Ardbrae and been a keen member of a Carleton U. swimming group. She valued her friends and family above all, and kept family history alive with her many stories. She will be greatly missed.

Thank you to the staff of Beacon Heights retirement residence for taking care of our Mom for the past two-and-a-half years, and to the neurology and palliative care teams at the Civic hospital for their attentive care during her final days. A Service of Remembrance will be held at Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Heartwood House - Au Cœur de la Vie would be appreciated.
