In Celebration of

Marta "Alicia" Carrasco Salgado

December 14, 1942 -  July 7, 2020

Passed away peacefully and with dignity on Tuesday, July 7, 2020, in Ottawa at the age of 77 years, surrounded by loved ones. Alicia was born in Villa Alegre, Linares, Region del Maule, Chile.

Alicia was fiercely independent and traveled the world. She leaves a legacy of kindness and friendship and touched many lives with her gentle nature and smile. She loved the Arts and Culture and spent many happy days in museums, galleries and art centres. With a book always in hand, she loved a good read and enjoyed conversations and a good laugh with family and friends over some Chilean wine.

She is lovingly remembered by the Abarca Ibarra Family (Luis and Alicia Abarca, Noelia Abarbanel, Esteban (Alex) Abarca, Gloria Cossio, Connie Cossio, Moises Cossio, and their extended families) by her Family in Chile (brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and their extended families) and by her godchildren.

"Gracias a la vida, que me ha dado tanto" Violeta Parra.

A Private Service was held at Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the MA.i.D. Program or to the Ottawa Hospital. Online condolences may be made at www.colefuneralservices.com
