Passed away peacefully on Friday, February 8, 2019 at the Queensway Carleton Hospital. Loving wife of the late Donald Charles Armstrong for 65 years and mother of John (Sharon) and Jane (Allan). Very proud grandmother of Robert, Catherine, Sarah (Armstrong) Joe, and Sam (Hickman) and her five little great-granddaughters. Marnie was a volunteer at the Ottawa Civic Hospital for seventeen years, and at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute for forty years. She was the recipient of the Governor Generals Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers in September, 2016. A Memorial Service will be held at the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel, 2500 Baseline Road, on Friday, February 15, 2019 at 1pm followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. Online condolences may be made at www.colefuneralservice.com
