Passed away peacefully on Saturday, 14 December at the age of 99. Predeceased by former husband, Albert Edward. Survived by son Richard (Marion), granddaughters Tanya (James O’Brien) and Emma (Dave Shilling), and great-grandchildren Thomas and Julia Shilling. Peggy was born in Dartford, Kent, England and was a World war II Veteran. She immigrated to Canada and settled with her family in Toronto in 1948. She was trained as a bookkeeper, and later was Office Manager for MyLord Shirts in Toronto, before retiring in 1986. She especially enjoyed the theatre and concerts and was an avid traveler throughout Europe and the rest of the world. A special thank you to the nurses and staff at Forest Hill Nursing Home. A celebration of life will take place at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre, 2500 Baseline Road on Monday, 23 December at 2 p.m. Those wishing may make a donation to the Ottawa Humane Society.
