<div itemprop="description">BURTON, Mabel Edith (née Greasley) <br>October 12, 1929 – November 15, 2017 <br> <br>Mabel passed away, peacefully, in her sleep, at Elmsmere Villa. Mabel leaves behind two sons, Steven and Richard, her niece and Goddaughter, Holly Lemoine, her sister Annie Barber and her sister-in-law, Dorothy Young, their families and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Mary Greasley, her loving husband, Lloyd (Bud), seven years ago and her sisters Linda Greasley, at age 12 and Nora Brown, earlier this year, at age 93. <br> <br>During her working career, Mabel worked as a secretary at Met Life, at the Air Transport Board and at the NCC. In her retirement years, she was a member of the Abbotsford Senior Centre and the Fun and Fitness club at Emanuel United Church. <br> <br>The family would like to thank the care givers at Elmsmere Villa where Mabel lived for the last sixteen months of her life. They made her a part of their family and kept her entertained, well fed and safe from wandering. <br> <br>Family and friends are invited to visit at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre, 2500 Baseline Road, on Monday, November 20th from 12 noon until the time of the Funeral Service in the Pinecrest Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Pinecrest Cemetery. A reception will follow in the Pinecrest Solarium. <br>In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada. <br></div>
