Kenneth George Shoultz
January 3, 1922 – September 7, 2017

Ken passed away as he lived: surrounded by love and family. Looking back over 95 wonderful years, Ken wrote, "Life was not always easy but it has been fun. You just have to jump in and try!".

Ken was a WWII radar specialist who after the war trained as an electrician, a high school teacher and when opportunity knocked, Ken became a vocational training specialist with the Ontario Ministry of Education. In 1967, Ken became the founding Principal and Dean of Technical Studies at Algonquin College. Ken lead the way as a life-long learner, earning both his B.A., M.Ed. and in June 2017, he received an Honorary degree from Algonquin College.

In retirement, Ken continued to enjoy the cottage, reading, travelling, clubs, reunions, new and renewed friendships, singing with The Capital City Chorus and as many family visits as possible.

Ken’s wife of 71 years, Doris Shoultz, passed away only six months ago. Ken was father to Carol Connolly, Barbara (David Dalton), Janet, Donna (Brian Ahearn) and Linda (Robert Adams).
