<div itemprop="description">John (Jack) William Windsor Fawcett, 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 15, surrounded by his family. Jack married Deryle (Dee) in 1958 and enjoyed a loving partnership for 61 years . He was a loving father to Jocelyn (Pascal Goux) who passed away in 2010, John (Cathy), Carolyn (Greg Hammond), Jennifer (Kevin Melnyk). Jack was an adoring grandfather to Robin (Josh), Jamie (Bobby), Emily (Shawn), Erica (Adam), Katie (Adam), Olivia and Edward. He was the proud great-grandfather to Grace and Charlotte. Jack was the brother-in-law to Macklyn and Tony McKernan, Clayton and Carol Spence, Charlie Spence, Peachie Spence, Irene and Jim Jenkinson, Leah and Jim Servais. Jack, an avid skier, reader, organist and oil painter, graduated as an electrical engineer from Dalhousie University and Nova Scotia Technical College. He enjoyed a successful 35 year career at Computing Devices (now General Dynamics) and retired in 1994 after twelve years as the company president. Jack and Dee undertook many post-retirement journeys both near and far, hosted countless family gatherings and enjoyed watching the family expand. He treasured time with his schoolmates and close ski buddies Chuck Williams, John Sinclair and Don Mawdsley, and with his longtime colleagues and friends John Watts and the late Gord Mount and many, many others.
