John P. “Ioannis” Bardis,
Passed peacefully with family by his side on Tuesday, May 15th, 2018 at age 81. Beloved husband of Katerina. Loving father of Sonia (Dean Vasilas), Peter (Eleni), Angela (George Voulgaris). Proud Pappou to Christos and Katerina Vasilas, Athena and Katerina Bardis, Sotirios and Ioanna Voulgaris. Cherished brother to Argiri, Chrisanthe, Demetra, and the late Evanthia. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada and Greece. Proud long-time owner of Bonanza Restaurant in Pembroke.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church (1315 Prince of Wales Drive) on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 5:00– 8:00 p.m. with Trisagion Prayers at 7:00 p.m., and again on Friday, May 18th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment to take place at Pinecrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Hellenic Community of Ottawa or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
