<div itemprop="description">Joan Proctor, of Nepean, ON, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2019, peacefully at home, at the age of 76, with her beloved husband of 52 years, Michael Proctor, at her side. Much loved mother of daughters: Kim (Marc) Pueschel; Jacqualyn (Morgan) Fraser; and, Natalie Proctor. Pre-deceased by granddaughter, Brigitte Rose Pueschel. Dear sister of Don, Grace, Patricia, Darlene, Joseph, Stephen, Mary, Chris, Shannon, and the late Robert. Remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Joan graduated as a Registered Nurse from the Hotel Dieu School of Nursing, Chatham, N.B. in 1965. Over a career of over 30 years, she worked as an RN at health care facilities in Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, and California. A caring and religious person, Joan greatly enjoyed serving in her community and church. She served two terms as president of St. John the Apostle Council of the Catholic Women’s League and managed the Parish Children’s Religious Program for seventeen years. She volunteered in many programs, including the Food Bank in Morrison Gardens and supporting the Liturgy of the Word program at Extendicare West End Villa Nursing Home. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 29, 2019 at Pinecrest Visitation Centre, 2500 Baseline Road from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m., with Prayers being offered at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 2340 Baseline Road on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. Internment in Pinecrest Cemetery, with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the St. John the Apostle Parish Building Mortgage Fund. The family wishes to express special thanks to Rebecca, Home Care Coordinator, of the Champlain LHIN and PSWs Angel and Ruth of CBI/We Care Home Health Services for their assistance to Joan.
