James Hugh Lynn
September 16, 1937 – December 5, 2017

Peacefully and quietly, as he lived his life, Jim slipped away from us, surrounded by our love on Tuesday Dec. 5, 2017. Dearly loved husband and constant companion of Kathy (née McLean). Proud, devoted, loved and admired father of Andy (Joss) and Marjie (Mon). Cherished and much-loved grandfather of Gabriel, Graham (deceased), Molly and Matthew, brother of the late Bill Lynn and fond brother-in-law of Doug McLean of Toronto. The family will always be grateful to all the unsung heroes whose donations of blood gave Jim the gift of five more years with us. We are also thankful for the wonderful care provided by Dr. Linda La Croix and her team at the Medical Day Care Unit at the Montfort Hospital, and for the same wonderful care he received from Drs. Mitch Sabloff and Jill Fulcher and their team at the Medical Day Care Unit at the General Hospital. We were most fortunate to be part of the Palliative Care team of Champlain LHIN.

The family would like to invite friends and neighbours to gather for a Reception to Honour Jim at the Pinecrest Reception Centre, (2500 Baseline Rd, Ottawa) on Saturday, December 9th from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. Words of Remembrance will be spoken at 1:00 p.m. Those wishing to make a donation in Jim’s memory are asked to consider the Canadian Blood Services, the Montfort Hospital, the Ottawa Hospital or the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario. He will be deeply missed, always loved and forever held dear in the hearts he leaves behind.
