ZOURDOS, Irene (nee Missios)
Passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday April 25, 2015 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Christos. Will be greatly missed by her loving children Anastasia "Soula" (Harry Patrinos) and Panayiotis (Panayiota "Yula"). Their loving yiayia will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Jimmy, Chris, Irene, Christos and Irene. Cherished sister of the late Michael (Evlogia), the late Gregory, John (Niki), Helen (late George Georgakopoulos) and Kostas (Kleanthi). Will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, her family in New York and her many friends in the Greek Community. A special thanks to Father Alex Michalopulos for always being there for her and her family. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 28 at Kimissis tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church (1315 Prince of Wales Dr.) from 5 to 8 p.m. with Trisagion prayers at 8 p.m. Visitation will continue at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29 followed by the Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. at the Greek Orthodox Church. Interment at Pinecrest Cemetery. A reception will follow the Interment at the Greek Orthodox Church. As she loved her Greek Community and Church, donations in lieu of flowers to the Hellenic Community of Ottawa would be greatly appreciated.
