<div itemprop="description">Passed peacefully on Sunday, February 2, 2020. Predeceased by wife Dorothy. Loving father of Carolyn Wark, Janice Scholey (John) and Diane Stanton (Colin Patterson). Step father of Nancy Meens (Wayne Banks), Carolyn Burtch (Nick Oram) and the late Steven Burtch. Survived by 18 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. As a young man, Howard proudly served in WWII. He taught high school in Belleville and Ottawa until his retirement in 1986. Howard and his wife Dorothy enjoyed summers at their cottage at McGregor Lake, Quebec and winters soaking up the sun in the Caribbean Islands. A special thank you to the staff at the Beacon Heights Retirement Home for their care. Friends are invited to visit at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre, 2500 Baseline Rd on Friday, February 7, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. until time of the service in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment and reception to follow.
