<div itemprop="description">Hal Martin Raycroft<br>March 12, 1956 - August 17, 2017<br><br>It is with profound sadness that the family of Hal Raycroft announce his passing after a courageous battle. Hal passed quietly and peacefully with his devoted wife by his side in the late afternoon on August 17th. He will be deeply missed by his wife and best friend Cheryl Raycroft (Buch). He was 61 years of age. He is survived by his older brother Noris (Jan) his younger brothers Rod and James (Nina) and his sister Cindy. Predeceased by his older sister Deborah, mother Mabel Raycroft (Nordstrom) and father (James) Howard Raycroft. Hal had an unwavering love as a husband to Cheryl and a devotion as an uncle to Brianna, Jamie, Kyle, Ryan, Dylan and Scott of whom he felt dearly loved in return. He had many friends with whom he shared his love and humour. <br><br>A service followed by a Celebration of Life reception starting at 11am on Thursday August 24th at the Pinecrest Remembrance Centre, 2500 Baseline Road in Ottawa. All are welcome to attend. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to his favourite charities, the Stittsville Food Bank and CHEO. <br><br>“We take comfort in knowing his devotion to others will continue to live on.”<br></div>
