<div itemprop="description">With great sadness, we announce the passing of Giovanni Dicembre on August 9, 2018. In his 90th year, he left us peacefully with his loving grand-daughter Patrizia Di Tullio by his side. Giovanni leaves behind his children Anna, Michelina and Nicola, his grandchildren Alberto (Melanie), Patrizia (Patrik Renaud), Michael, Rosanna and Kristina and his loving great grand-daughters Alessia (daughter of Patrizia Di Tullio and Maurizio Di Paolo), Amelia and Lillian and step great grandchildren Livia and Zachary. Predeceased by his parents Michele Dicembre and Teodora DiRosso, his brothers Nicola and Giuseppe and his son-in-law Nicola DiTullio.<br><br>He will be greatly missed by his sisters Maria (late Giovanni Canci), Antonietta (Guerrino D’Adderio), Nicoletta (Edmondo Inconditi), and his brothers late Nicola (Dora Ruzzi), late Giuseppe (Denise Kingsbury) and Luigi (Beatrice Barale). He will be lovingly remembered by his nephews and nieces and by his relatives and friends in Canada and Italy. <br><br>The extended family would like to thank the medical and nursing staff at the Ottawa General Hospital for the care and comfort they provided him in the final two days of his life. Special heartfelt thanks and gratitude are extended to his sister Antonietta and brother-in-law Guerrino, his grand-daugther Patrizia, his nephew Lorenzo Bruno and good friends Brian and Enid Carter for all the love, care, help and support they provided him over the past several years. <br><br>Friends are invited to visit at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa on Wednesday, August 15 from 10 a.m until 12 p.m. The funeral service will take place at 12 p.m. in the chapel followed by entombment.<br><br>In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation and/or the Ottawa Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.<br></div>
