It is with great sadness, our family wishes to announce the passing of Ghais Uddin on Friday, September 20, 2013 in Ajax, Ontario. Ghais fought a courageous battle with cancer and passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He is survived by his daughters, Sarah and Veronica Uddin and their mother Marilyn MacSween (Brian Perrin), nieces and nephews, brothers in law, Rod MacSween (Debbie), Bob MacSween (Lynn), mother in law Sylvia Carmichael (Frederick Carmichael-deceased) and predeceased by his brother in law Thomas MacSween and survived by his brother Zaheer Uddin (Zaibunnisa). Family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 from 11:00 am until the time of the Memorial Service at 1:00 pm in the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel (2500 Baseline Rd., Ottawa). Interment to follow at Pinecrest. Family and friends are invited to a reception at the family home following the interment. In memory of Ghais, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
