He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews who held him in high regard.

George’s career was with Alcan Aluminium where he held increasingly senior roles over his 36 years of service, reaching the senior executive level. He was a pioneer in computer programming in the sixties. He never lost his interest in technology. The family loved that they could text with him in his 90s.

His retirement years were thoroughly enjoyed traveling, playing bridge and square dancing with Jo always at his side. He loved living in the Pine Hill community and was grateful for all the wonderful times shared with his friends there.

George was a kind, genuine and generous man. He was truly one of the ‘good guys’. He has been an influential role model to many. He will be sorely missed but he leaves behind a fine example of a life well lived.

The family invites friends to join them at a reception to celebrate George’s life on Sunday, March 15, 2020 between 1 PM and 4 PM at the Pine Hill Community Centre.
