<div itemprop="description"> <p> <b> Essie Sophia Steele </b> &nbsp; </p> <p> Essie was a Christmas baby born December 25, 1923 into a large German family. &nbsp;She was the daughter of the late Herman and Ida Verch (nee Molzaim). She was the dearly loved wife of the late William Bruce Steele of Renfrew. They were married 50 years until he passed, and enjoyed being a homemaker and mother who also enjoyed crafting, sewing, knitting, quilting and baking. She was the cherished mother of Sandra Germano and her husband Joe Germano.&nbsp; She was blessed with two loving granddaughters whom she enjoyed tremendously, Jennifer El Chaar (Chahine) and Laura Germano. She was predeceased by brothers, Richard and Ellard Verch, and sisters Freida Meyer, Ella Prins, Enid Tracy, Marion Sell, Astrid Boudens and infant brother Theodore. &nbsp;She is survived by many nieces and nephews. &nbsp;She passed away Jan 4, 2012 in her 89th year. &nbsp;She was a religious woman who took much comfort in her relationship with God. &nbsp;She suffered for many years with Alzheimer&rsquo;s but in her mind always had the company and comfort of her family past.&nbsp; &nbsp;Every day was Sunday and she had to prepare to go to Church. She is now at peace. </p> </div>
