<div itemprop="description"><br>Peacefully on Thursday, September 19, 2019 with his family and loyal dogs by his side, Dr. George Maroosis, DDS, of Kanata, Ontario. Cherished “Bop” to his grandchildren. <br><br>Born on July 8, 1940 in North Bay, Ontario. Graduate of McGill University, School of Dentistry 1966. <br><br>Dr. George Maroosis was an active member his community from the time he opened the first dental practice in the Kanata/Stittsville area in 1966 until his retirement, in 2013. <br><br>As per George’s wishes (and personality) he wrote down his own words about his life, which he wanted us to share with you. <br><br>“Special Sisters Joanne (Chris) Bee and the late Patricia Kimbark. <br><br>Diane, my wife, my Lady Di, my partner, the lady that taught me what love really is. Diane is such an important part of my life. <br><br>Our children: Tod Maroosis, Emily Howe (Mark Evans) and Bobby Howe (Jane Howe).<br><br>Four of the most wonderful grandchildren ever: Joey (Hamilton), Sophie (Evans), Lily and Sam (Howe).<br><br>I feel privileged to have had my career as a Dentist, having time for and conducting meaningful research, and watching my family grow. <br><br>Each of our dogs and cats has a place in my heart and were so special to Di and myself. Their love, their loyalty, was always there and part of us and our lives. <br><br>We are very fortunate and blessed.<br><br>Now that this chapter is closed, I would like to keep this event very simple.<br><br>In lieu of flowers, any donations to a Dog Rescue of your choice would be humbly appreciated.<br><br>Thank you for a wonderful life.”<br><br><br>The family of Dr. George Maroosis invite all those that knew and cared for him to join them in to celebrate his wonderful life on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 at the Pinecrest Remembrance Centre, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa.<br></div>
