Passed peacefully at home after a lengthy illness. Donald was a renowned anthropologist focusing on the western Subarctic and the upper Koyukuk River in Alaska. Donald and his colleague and late wife, Annette McFadyen Clark, carried out research that modernized ethno-archaeological approaches. Both made significant contributions to the National Museums of Canada. Survived by brother Gerald Clark (Joanne) and daughter-in-law Shelley Kamin (late Raoul). At Donald’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
