July 2, 1935 – July 18, 2017
Donald passed away July 18th after a few years of declining health due to Parkinson’s Disease. Don is survived and dearly missed by Beverley (Bynoe) his loving wife of 58 years, his children Kerry (Ron Withey), David (Sabrina Stables) and Barbara (Rick Duquette), grandchildren Jennie (Ryan) and Greg; Eamon, Sean, Avalon and Maddie; Stephanie (Sean) and Nicole and great-granddaughter Michaela. He also leaves brothers Brian in Winchester and Denis in Florida. A dedicated and skillful dentist, Don was enthusiastic about his practice of 35 years and greatly missed his patients when forced to retire early for health reasons. An avid sportsman, he enjoyed tennis, golf and fly fishing. Don was always kind, generous and funny. He loved people and cherished his family and friends. He accepted his many health problems with stoic good grace. His friends are invited to share in a celebration of his life at the Ottawa Hunt & Golf Club (1 Hunt Club Road) on Sunday, July 23rd at 2:00p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Royal Ottawa Hospital would be appreciated.
