<div itemprop="description">CATANA, Dario <br>12 June 1949 – 03 June 2018 <br> <br>Infectious laugh, kindhearted smile, sparkling (and mischievous) eyes, joyous whistle, boundless creativity, and warm graciousness. <br> <br>With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Dario on Sunday June 3rd, 2018 at Bruyère Hospital. <br> <br>Loving and persistently silly husband of 44 years to Maria (Tanga). Playful and joyful father to his favourite daughter Lisa aka “Tita” (Sacha), and his favourite son Davide (Jennifer). <br> <br>Predeceased by his beloved father Romeo Catana and mother Adalgisa (Tronetti). Devoted brother to Ivo (Alide), the late Giovanni (Tina), and Regina (the late Primo). Cousin to Franco (Angela), Marino (Sarah “Sadie”), the late Basilio (Antonietta), the late Minta (the late Liberato) and Osvaldo (Lina) – all of whom he loved as siblings. <br> <br>Will be deeply missed by sister-in-law Gina (Domenico); brothers-in-law Biagio (Tracy) and Domenico (Tracy) as well as many nieces and nephews. <br> <br>Adored by many close friends who loved him throughout his life and lifted his spirits during his illness. <br> <br>Family and friends are invited to the visitation, which will include a small vernissage of his artwork, Friday, June 8 from 3pm to 5pm and 7pm to 9pm. A celebration of his life will take place Saturday, June 9 at 11am followed by a reception. <br>Both the visitation and funeral to be held at Pinecrest Visitation Centre, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa. <br> <br>In keeping with Dario’s passion for art and life, donations may be made in his memory to the Ottawa School of Art (OSA) Outreach Program. <br>http://bit.ly/dariocatanaosa<br></div>
